Papa Roach Is A Hard Rock Band From Vacaville California. Formed In 1993 It Consists Of Jacoby Shaddix Vocals Jerry Horton Guitar Tobin Esperance Bass And Tony Palermo Drums . Tony Previously Of Unwritten Law Joined The Band Permanently In 2008 The Move Came After The Departure Of One Of The Band's Founding Members Dave Buckner. The Band Has Released Nine Studio Albums Sold More Than 20 Million Albums Worldwide With One #1 Hit On Alternative Radio "Last Resort" And Four Number-Ones On Mainstream Rock. The Group Had Mostly Regional Success Until Their Breakthrough With The Hit Single "Last Resort". That Song Came From Their First Major Label Album 'Infest' And Has Remained A Fan Favorite For Years. The Album Was A Departure From The Band's Previous Works Showcasing An Alternative Rock And Hard Rock Sound Instead Of A Nu-Metal And Rap Metal Sound. Unlike Their Previous Albums The Album Features No Rapping And Instead Only Features Jacoby Shaddix Singing. It Was Released On August 31 2004 Via Geffen Records And Has Been Certified Gold In Canada Silver In The United Kingdom And Platinum In The United States. Getting Away With Murder Peaked At Number 17 On The Billboard 200. Production Lasted From October To December 2003. During The Recording Of The Album The Band Was Not Signed To A Label As Their Previous Label DreamWorks Records Had Recently Been Bought Out. The Band Would Later Sign With Geffen Records. The Album Features A Departure From The Band's Rap-Metal Sound As The Band's Vocalist Jacoby Shaddix Was Tired Of Rapping.
