Queens Of Noise Is The Second Studio Album By The American Rock Band The Runaways. Released In January 1977 On Mercury Records The Album Came Just Seven Months After The Band's Debut. The Increasingly Poor Relationship Between The Runaways And Their Manager Kim Fowley Led Them To Arrive At The Mutual Decision To Bring In A Different Day-To-Day Producer For The Album. The Man Selected To Both Engineer And Produce The Album Was Earle Mankey Most Famous For His Work With The Beach Boys Although Fowley Did Remain Involved In Its Production On A Periodic Basis. Although Contemporary Reviews Were Mixed And The The Album Only Reached #172 On The Billboard Charts Its Reputation Has Improved Over Time And It Remains The Band's Best-Selling Album In The United States. Five Different Songs Were Released As Singles In Various Territories Including Queens Of Noise UK Midnight Music Germany Heartbeat US I Love Playin' With Fire Australia And Neon Angels On The Roads To Ruin Japan None Charted.
