Pvris Pronounced "Paris" And Stylized PVRIS Is A Pop Rock Act Formed By Multi-Instrumentalist Singer Songwriter And Producer Lyndsey Gunnulfsen. Over Her Decade-Long Career Gunnulfsen Has Released Four Studio LPs White Noise In November 2014 Featuring The Hits "You And I" And "My House" All We Know Of Heaven All We Need Of Hell In 2017 Featuring "What's Wrong" Use Me In 2020 Featuring "Hallucinations" And EVERGREEN In 2023 Featuring "ANIMAL" And "GODDESS". The Band Was Formed In Lowell Massachusetts In 2012 Under The Name Operation Guillotine.They Were Originally A Metalcore Band Consisting Of Five Members With Kyle Anthony Performing Unclean Vocals. Their Line-Up Soon Changed To Vocalist/guitarist Lynn Gunn Born Lyndsey Gunnulfsen Guitarist Alex Babinski Bassist Brian Macdonald And Drummer Brad Griffin. Griffin Would Leave The Band Prior To The Release Of The Band's First Album 2014's White Noise. The Trio Of Gunn Babinski And MacDonald Would Release One More Album All We Know Of Heaven All We Need Of Hell In 2017 And An EP Hallucinations In 2019. Prior To The Release Of 2020's Use Me Babinski Was Removed From The Band. The Band's Current Lineup Is Gunnulfsen With Macdonald And Drummer Danny Agosto Playing With Her Live.

“Old Wounds” Was Actually Written Around The Same Time I Wrote “Nightmare ” Same Location As Well. It Was Right Before I Moved To Brooklyn. Both Of The Songs Are About The Same Situation With The Same Person And That One From The Get Go Felt Very Special And I Was Waiting To Find The Right Person To Fully Produce It And JT Daly Smashed It. “Old Wounds” Is A Lot More Classic Dark Brooding PVRIS. Both Songs Are Very Contrasting To Each Other But We’re Always Doing Things That Are All Over The Place. “‘Old Wounds’ Is Actually A Love Song Written With That Full Intention From The Start ” Lynn Explained. “About Three Years Ago I Had A Very Intense And Meaningful Relationship With Somebody But Things Went Kind Of Haywire And Our Lives Went In Different Directions And It Ended Very Abruptly. It Was Just A Really Weird Situation To Be In. I Was Right At The Edge Of When You’re First Starting To Fall For Somebody But Never Got To See It Through. And You’re Left With That Lingering Longing For That Person. There’s This Kind Of Resolution That You Need From Them. And That’s Where The ‘Old Wounds’ Come In.” “There Was A Point Where This Person Kind Of Came Back Into My Life And I Remember Just Not Knowing Where That Was Going To Go ” She Continued. “I Told A Friend About It And They Were Like ‘Be Careful Don’t Open Up Old Wounds You’ve Already Been Hurt Before. You Could Get Hurt Again’. That Conversation Kind Of Inspired The Song Like… That Situation Has Already Hurt Me So Much From The Get-Go That If I Were To Open It Up And Try Again With That Person I’ve Already Been Through The Brunt Of It Through The Real Heavy Stuff. So It’s Like I Could Do Anything At That Point If They Were To Ever Come Back.”

“Old Wounds” was actually [written] around the same time I wrote “Nightmare,” same location as well. It was right before I moved to Brooklyn. Both of [the songs are] about the same situation with the same person and that one from the get go felt very special and I was waiting to find the right person to fully produce it and JT Daly smashed it. “Old Wounds” is a lot more classic, dark, brooding PVRIS. Both songs are very contrasting to each other, but we’re always doing things that are all over the place.
“‘Old Wounds’ is actually a love song, written with that full intention from the start,” Lynn explained.

“There was a point where this person kind of came back into my life, and I remember just not knowing where that was going to go,” she continued. “I told a friend about it, and they were like, ‘Be careful, don’t open up old wounds, you’ve already been hurt before. You could get hurt again’. That conversation kind of inspired the song, like… that situation has already hurt me so much from the get-go that, if I were to open it up and try again with that person, I’ve already been through the brunt of it, through the real heavy stuff.
