Ally Rae J was born Alixandra Rae James on July the 21st, 1991, and on that day...nothing changed. She has spent her entire life growing up in Louisville, Kentucky. For seventeen long years Ally Rae was in an artistic rut, having nothing she was really good at, but at the start of her 18th year, she found the ukulele. Her greatest musical influences are Donovan, Neil Young, and Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music, though she is influenced by many other things as well. She is currently Hanging Out and Being Groovy, seeing where this music thing takes her.
