Caleb Fritel was born on February 22, 1987. He grew up in the small midwest town of Hazen, North Dakota. Caleb was drawn to the West Coast in 2007 as the percussionist for an up and coming band which steadily gained recognition through a continuous tour evolving from dive bars to landmarks such as a set at L.A.’s historic rock house Whiskey A Go-Go. Caleb’s passion for songwriting and singing with an instrument arsenal lead by acoustic guitar, piano, marimba and percussion transcended to his solo career with his first studio release, Comfort and Compromise, out June of 2011. The lead track Comfortable is a tribute to the life he left to pursue his dreams with lyrics full of reinvested regret. Caleb has settled into the Southern California lifestyle just as with his percussion roots which reconcile on Victory. Influences blended from The Beatles, Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, and Our Lady Peace combined with soulful and inspiring lyrics have given Caleb a unique sound best categorized as Alternative/Pop. The faces in the crowd are quickly becoming Caleb’s new family portrait etched into the landscape of Southern California.
