Jacob is a classically trained and accomplished tenor as well as an actor and performer. His resume of experience and accomplishments is extensive. Past events include "Chichester Psalms" with the Cellar Singers, soloist with The Peterborough Singers, opening for Moses Znaimer's "Idea City" conference and the lead in Murray Schafer's opera, the world premiere of "The Children's Crusade", presented by Soundstreams Canada and Luminato during the Luminato Festival in Toronto.

As a previous boy treble, he recorded his first album "I will Go, Lord" with Collective Records, released in October 2009. Abrahamse produced a benefit concert in Peterborough for Tsunami relief efforts in Japan in 2011.
