Jerboa's a natural born musician. Barely five years old, he was already studying the basics of his preferred form of expression, and before long moved on to playing the bass in miscellaneous rock bands. It wasn't until the talented young man came across turntablism and sampling, however, that he started to fully come into his own. Desirous to wholly master his craft, studying audio engineering was the logical next step. Shortly after graduating with high honours, Jerboa released his debut: the Jerboa/Desk split tape/CD 'Cuttin' Stylus'. It was followed quickly by the 'Au Cinema' EP, also the first release on his own Jerb Records imprint. Next up were a series of collaborations with Omni, Stino and Lefto, and in 2005 Jerboa finally released his first full-length album, 'Music for My Instruments'. The record's singles 'White Windows' and 'Au Cinema' did very well, and the producer/composer/live animal embarked on a greatly successful tour of Belgium, playing Pukkelpop, Boomtown, Petrol Deluxe, Feest in 't Park and De Brakke Grond, to name but a few. At the Ancienne Belgique, he even blew oft-cited influence DJ Shadow right off the stage. Second album 'Rockit Fuel' took off just like its name suggested. 'Number 1' was a bona fide radio hit, as was 'What If' and 'Just Another Number', and Jerboa played many a steamy summer gig in 2007, culminating in his brilliant concert at the Pukkelpop festival. 2008 has seen Jerboa spreading his musical joy to an ever larger audience. After extensively playing Holland, Jerboa is now embarking on his first ever European tour supporting Hooverphonic, which will take him to places like Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Lausanne and Milan. And then there's the remix of 'Running North' – a cracking track featuring the vocals of Alex Callier, that is sure to cast Jerboa's web even wider. Prepare to be rocked!
