BASHandSlash is a Call of Duty fansite started by Jock Yitch. Popularized by the fact that it has provided player config files for almost all CoD variants, the original purpose of the site was production of the "BASH" webcast - an audio only, magazine-style podcast that dealt with all things Call of Duty. HISTORY BASHandSlash.com's roots began back in December of 2006, when the the site was known only for the BASH webcast, found on bash.podbean.com. As the cast became popular and was featured on the popular planetcallofduty.com site, Jock moved into the blogosphere with his entry: cod2bash.blogspot.com. As the name implied it dealt with Call of Duty 2. It soon outgrew the constraints put on it by being on the "free" blogspot domain. Upon the release of CoD4?, Yitch purchased a domain moved the website to BASHandSlash.com. The name "BASH" and "Slash" derived from a combination of the CoD2? and CoD4? style melees. MISSION STATEMENT BASHandSLASH's goal is to increase community awareness of the work, skill and efforts put into building and maintaining the online FPS gaming hobby. (c) BASH wiki
