Predikant made their record debut in 2016 and got a lot of attention when they released their first single "Predikant" together with a groundbreaking, vertical music video that generated superlatives such as; "Video of the year", "ingenious layout", and ".. the coolest music video I've ever seen!". The video was featured in the online newspapers NATT & DAG and TVANGSNYTT.no and to this day the music video is used internally in NRK as an example of good and original content for social media.

After a number of sold-out concerts, including John Dee, Studentersamfunnet and Vanguard - in addition to a sold-out release concert at HvaSkjer in Oslo - a small band took a break from music life. That break was to end in the release BITER.
