Rich Cason, and his full musical act, Rich Cason and The Galactic Orchestra, are considered to be pioneers of electro-hop and founders of old school west coast hip-hop. Rich Cason, himself, worked with Duffy Hooks and Rappers Rapp Disco Co. to co-produce and write much of the material released on that label. At the same time, with the Galactic Orchestra, or with other M.C.'s associated with the label, Cason would release solo material. If Disco Daddy and Captain Rapp were the first rappers on the west coast, then Rich Cason and Duffy Hooks were the first producers, promoters, and song writers on the west coast.
