Sid & Kelv (1978 - 1983) Simon Parker (Sid) and Kelvin Cartwright (Kelv) were an Alternative, Electronica, Art Rock duo from Leicester, United Kingdom. They worked with various musicians in and around Leicester during the late 1970's and early 1980's and would be seen performing live, most notably with Companionable Ills, with Sid on guitar and vocals and Kelv on percussion. However, by the summer of 1981, Kelv embarked on the ambitious solo project of releasing an album Attacking Vessels

However, by the summer of 1981, Kelv embarked on the ambitious solo project of releasing an album Attacking Vessels, where he played all the instruments and produced a distinct vocals style that was "acting" rather than "singing".
