Back in the early nineties a few teenage outsiders from the nazi-infested island of Nøtterøy, Norway discovered punk rock, hardcore and anarchism. Some of them got interested because they suddenly felt that they could give the nazi thugs they were going to school with a REASON for giving them the good kicking they would have gotten anyways. Others got interested because their friends who regularly got beaten up by neo-nazi assholes showed them the music.

In a few years they started up a bunch of bands, got to know the punx of the neighboring island Tjøme (fortunately for them much less nazi-infested). They also started frequenting shows in the "punk-capital" of Vestfold county, Horten, home of the almighty Kort Prosess, and eventually in the capital of Norway, Oslo. To cut a long story short the two most prominent and most of the time the only hardcore/punk bands from these two islands were Statens Menn from Nøtterøy and Alltid Jaget, a band from Tjøme who started up a year before us. In 1993 Statens Menn played their first shows at Nøtterøy and Tjøme and during the next years we played several shows mainly in the larger area around Oslo. In 1998 we played our first show in Trondheim, which was also our last as we decided to call it quits because of some unsolvable differences in the band. Members have later played in bands like Summon the Crows, Knuste Ruter, Hevn, Next Life, blueXprint and Fleshfester.
