Indietronica, also known as indie electronic, indietronic, indietronics, lap-pop and glitch pop, is a music genre that combines Indie rock with elements of electronic music styles / electronica such as IDM, minimal techno, glitch and folktronica, and featuring prominent crossovers between post-rock, ambient pop and neo-psychedelia.

Various examples include Sweet Trip, Broadcast, The Notwist's albums Shrink (1998) and Neon Golden (2002), Lali Puna, Caribou, Max Tundra, Cornelius, The Postal Service, M83, Baths, and aspects of Animal Collective and Radiohead. It is the 2002 compilation titled ''Indietronica Vol. 1'' by Sónar Music Festival that solidified and popularized the term.
The genre has been further expanded by several crossover projects between indietronica and alternative hip hop artists, specifically between the Morr Music and Anticon labels.
