The Hopeful Romantics are an American band from Martinez Ca. Their music draws from many influences such as folk, country, bluegrass, rock, blues resulting in a sound that is classified as Americana. The band formed in 2009,playing cover tunes for parties and fun. After Hope introduced a couple of original tunes to the mix, the idea came about to capitalize on the positive reactions and promote the original music Danny and other members also had written.

The band formed in 2009,playing cover tunes for parties and fun. After Hope introduced a couple of original tunes to the mix, the idea came about to capitalize on the positive reactions and promote the original music Danny and other members also had written. The first album from 2010 "Tales of Death, Romance, and Intrigue" was a mix of five originals and four covers. The covers were not originally released online. The second album released in 2012 "Callin Your Name" is twelve originals and one cover (Julie Miller's "All My Tears"). The track "Invite the Last Tear" written by Hope and Danny was a finalist in the 2010 Great American Song Contest. The most recent offering is a single "Baby Fishes" that is available as a fan download on the band's ReverbNation website. Numerous personnel changes have been made since the early days but only those that have happened since the first recording will be noted here. Julia MacLeod joined the band on fiddle/vox/percussion after the first album was released Curtis Dickover- percussion left after the first album was released Steve Barry-gtr left after the second album was released Brian Wilson-percussion/mando/gtr/vox joined the band after the second album was released
