After leaving Arts Educational, a dance and drama college in London, she auditioned for a new version of The New Seekers (where she first met Trevor Horn). Thereza Lorraine Bazar was born on 23rd May 1957 in Toronto Canada. After leaving Arts Educational, a dance and drama college in London, she auditioned for a new version of The New Seekers (where she first met Trevor Horn). Although she got the job, the band only lasted for a few weeks; she then joined Guys And Dolls, where she met David Van Day. Dissatisfied with the direction of the band, they left and, in 1978, formed the duo Dollar, where they became one of the most successful boy/girl acts ever in the UK. They were marketed as boyfriend/girlfriend but have both since stated that this was merely a publicity stunt. In 1985, Thereza released a solo album (The Big Kiss) and a selection of singles, including album's title track and the theme to the film Gotcha!. She also wrote and produced for a small number of minor artistes before "retiring" from show business, getting married and moving to Australia. In recent years she has toured with David as Dollar on the Here And Now tour, as well as appearing with him in the TV show Reborn In The USA.
