TZX Grinder is a solo music project from Poland. First steps in creating any kind of music were taken in 1995 and were closely related to computer demoscene. The discovery and fascination with alternative genres of techno music has rightly directed his later productions, which became increasingly better. Finally at the end of 1997 TZX Grinder played his first live act. The performance took place in a ‘Gong’ club in Bydgoszcz and was warmly accepted, despite some deficiencies. Further live acts played until 2000, were characterized by an uncompromising and orthodox approach to the topic. Strong bassdrum, deep & heavy bass and drilling industrial sounds became distinct attributes of his compositions. After 2000 the prosperity at the local club scene and commercialization of music resulted in the loss of place for minimal / detroit techno. However, it did not stop the activity in making music and the new material was still created at home studio. It was sent and issued at various music competitions. Over time, the musical fascinations have been extended to more abstract and experimental forms of electronic music, including the dark ambient, of which TZX Grinder is a big fan. A particular source of inspiration is also a new school techno including artists such as Neil Landstrumm, Cristian Vogel, Tobias Schmidt, Justin Berkovi and Tim Wright. Current productions are musical hybrid of these music genres and are the result of expanding knowledge about the virtual analog synthesis. In 2008 TZX Grinder was invited by a local collective ‘Snow Designers’ from Bydgoszcz and had an opportunity to present new material at the party in Yakiza club. His set with distinctive strong beat and sharp drilling synthesizer lines, reminded to the audience that the real techno is not dead.
