Trancecore, derived from the words "trance" and "hardcore," refers to post-hardcore and metalcore bands that incorporate synthesizers into their breakdowns and use autotuned vocals in their choruses. When electronic music is combined with hardcore punk, it is sometimes called digital hardcore, though this style is also occasionally classified under electronicore due to digital hardcore's association with noise and industrial music. The fusion of electronic music and grindcore is known as cybergrind or electrogrind.
