The term has fallen out of favor in medical journals as it is seen as a generic term used to describe a wide variety of conditions.
On Last.fm, the "stupid" tag is often inserted by trolling individuals who do not like a band, group, act, or musician, but cannot make a logical argument as to why they do not like them. Thus they mark them as "stupid".
