Born in Charlemagne, Quebec, into a large family, Dion was managed from an early age by René Angélil, whom she later married. During the 1980s, she released eight French-language albums and became a prominent teen performer in Canada. She gained international attention after representing Switzerland and winning the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 with the song "Ne partez pas sans moi". She subsequently established a career in the English-language market, releasing twelve English-language studio albums. Among her most commercially successful releases are "The Colour of My Love" (1993), "Falling into You" (1996), "Let's Talk About Love" (1997) and "All the Way...
