Freddy has composed for many Brazilian TV shows and Soap Operas for Globo, SBT and Bandeirantes TV Networks. Some of his influences as a drummer are Ian Paice, John Bonham, Don Brewer, Steve Smith, Jeff Porcaro, Simon Phillips and Sergio Herval a Brazilian drummer and singer. His music heroes are: Neal Schon, David Foster, Alan Silvestri, Christopher Cross, Paul, Ace, Peter and Gene - (KISS). Freddy is a drummer who can also sing, he has done solo shows as a front man, and he is also known among Anime fans as the singer for the Japanese Anime show Jaspion (Juspion) which was a huge success in Brazil. Freddy has also performed with musicians such as Kleber Jorge, Mike Shapiro, Luis Conte, Bill Cantos, Luisa and Larry Dunn, Zé Luis and others. He is a member of "The Faded" an established LA Rock band. He is currently working in studio with the band recording new tracks one of which is scheduled for release in March and will be part of a CD compilation called High School Musical goes Punk featuring The Faded’s version of world smash phenomenon “Breaking Free”. Freddy Maciel is a solid timekeeper, with a good mix of Pop/Rock/Hard Rock/Brazilian/Groove oriented styles.
