Seljačka Buna (Serbian for 'Peasant Rebellion', commonly referred to as 'Buna') is a agro metal band from Belgrade, Serbia. They've been active since 2005, but the old line-up consisting of a varied gang of members split at the end of 2007. The band reformed in the summer of 2010, with only two members left of the original line-up (Stevan Radoicic - guitar, backing vocals and Vuk Nikolic - bass). They were joined by Marko Dosen - Shendo on drums, Milan Gluscevic - Glu on rhythm guitar and Ivan Veljkovic - Brada was selected as the new vocal. Band signed a deal with internet label SMP music, so the full-length LP ''Buna je pocela'' (''Rebellion has begun'') is finished and will be available for free download on November 7th, 2011. Their second album "Brljantin" was released in 2017 after almost two and a half years in production. Due to personal differences and clashing work schedules, the band went on a second hiatus until December 2019. They returned with the release of their new singles "Buna se nastavlja (Bunion)" and "Desperado", and promoted their EP Vasprsnuce in March 2020 in concert at Elektropionir, Belgrade, right before the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic. The next gig was in 2021 in the club Fest in Zemun, and after this concert they parted ways with Vuk Kazimirovic. The band has completed work on the full LP Vasprsnuce, and released it for Multimedia Records in 2023. The band plays a fusion of genres, including, but not restricted to, heavy metal, groove metal, nu metal, alternative, rock and blues. They've dubbed their style agro metal. It has a threefold meaning, pertaining to 1. aggression 2. the so called aggro mode in roleplaying games and 3. agriculture - especially heavy machinery involved in agricultural work. They sing about love's mishaps, mock "true" heavy metal, criticize social phenomena, and tackle many other issues always taking a comedic stance. The band is seeking venues, people and bands in the region willing to ''get agro''! Buna has already made a brotherly visit to Zagreb where they not only played as a opening act for punkfolk attraction Brkovi, but also negotiated closer collaboration with another great agro metal act Penetracija from Našice, that could result as a possible split CD in the near future (Buna's guitarist Stevan did the production and mastering of Penetracija's third album Ženetine). Current Line-up: Stevan Radoicic - Sharkey (Domar) - Guitars, Backing Vocals (2005-) Ivan Veljkovic Brada - Vocals (2010-) Vuk Nikolic - Gazda Vuja - Bass (2005-) Marko Dosen Shendo - Drums, Percussion and Jew's harp (2010-) Uros Pajic Paja - Guitars (2021-) Former members and session musicians: Stanko Milosavljevic - Lepi Cane - Vocals (2005) Bass (2025-) Ilija Lepi Ika Nenad Nehru Nebojsa Tijanic Bojsha - Guitars (2005-2007) Sisati Pekar - Drums (2005-2007) Vuk Kazimirovic - Vučina - Guitars (2012-2017, 2019-2021) Milan Gluscevic Glu - Guitars (2010-2012) Former line-ups included Boysha and Nehru on guitars, Mata the Baker and Kum Gavrilo on drums, while good ol' Sharkey delivered the vocals (also shortly performed by Stanko and Lepi Ika), alcohol and sandwiches.
