"The Liskots" was founded in 1986 near Heidelberg, under the name "Fierce". To avoid confusion with same-named bands they named themselves in "The Liskots" (Liskot = Finnish for lizard) . Inspired by bands like Motörhead, Celtic Frost, Destruction, but also by various punk bands, the band played a wild, rough mixture of Rock 'n Roll, Metal and punk. The band split after a short time to pursue other projects. A demo tape from 1987 that was recorded in the rehearsal room is still available.
