David Arden Is An Australian Guitar Player And Singer. He Has Performed With Archie Roach Ruby Hunter Tiddas Bart Willoughby Mixed Relations And With Members Of Goanna Crowded House Not Drowning Waving And Hunters And Collectors And Weddings Parties Anything. He Is Currently A Member And Co Musical Director Of The Black Arm Band. 1 Arden Has Released One Album Called Kookatha / Gunditjmara Clan 2 3 4 Which He Says Took 20 Years To Make. 5 The Album Was Produced By Shane Howard And Arden And Featured Contributions By Howard Amy Saunders Helen Mountford Rose Bygrave And Bart Willoughby. 2 Arden Has Been Involved In The Koori Visible Project Which Saw The Release Of An Album By Tjudi A Band Led By Arden. 6 David Arden Has Devoted Himself For Over 20 Years To The Promotion Of Contemporary Music. He Has Been Awarded The Kranichsteiner Prize At The Darmstadt Ferienkurse Fur Neue Musik First Prize At The Gaudeamus International Competition For Contemporary Music And Was A Prizewinner In The Carnegie Hall International Competition For Contemporary Music. Mr. Arden Has Worked Closely With Composer Henryk Gorecki In Europe Receiving His Enthusiastic Praise In A Broadcast For Polish Television. In 1993 Mr. Arden Gave The US Premiere Of Gorecki's Sonata No. 1 In A New York Recital And Was Authorized By The Composer To Make The World Premiere Recoring Of His Solo Piano Music. In Addition He Has Worked With And Premiered Pieces By Such Notable Composers As Olivier Messiaen Luciano Berio Karlheinz Stockhausen John Cage Earle Brown Jacob Druckman Bernard Rands And Carson Kievman. He Has Toured Asia The South Pacific And South America And Has Made Radio Broadcasts In Belgium Holland France Germany England Japan Hong Kong Australia New Zealand And The US. read less
