Gum Takes Tooth Is A Math Rock / Noise Rock Duo Based In London UK Consisting Of Jussi Brightmore Electronics Vocals And Thomas Fuglesang Drums Percussion . Formed In 2009 The Duo Quickly Established A Unique Approach Whereby Drum-Triggered Electronics Are Manipulated To Achieve A Dynamic Rhythmically Driven And Flagrantly Unclassifiable Fury That Has Flirted With Both Speaker-Ripping Psych-Rock Pyrotechnics And Synapse-Shredding Acid House Deliverance Whilst Stubbornly Avoiding Any Of The Trappings Or Cliches Of Either. The Duo's Debut Album "Silent Cenotaph" Was Released In 2011 On Tigertrap Records Followed By "Mirrors Fold" In 2014 And "Arrow" In 2019. Brightmore From The UK Had Previously Been In The Bands 100 Pets And I'm Being Good. Fuglesang Originally From Norway Is In Various Other Bands Such As Luminous Bodies Melting Hand And Wart Biter. Gum Takes Tooth Has Been Described As A "two Man Everything Machine Endlessly Seeking What-The-Fuck Aural Mesmerism In A Maze Like Arrangement Of Physically Overwhelming Rituals Of Dance Music Sound System Culture Doom And Pan-Cultural Psychedelics.
