This Czech Duo Of Avant-Garde Singer/violinist/composer/ And Former Actress Iva Bittová Born Moravia July 22 1958 Of Romani Origin And Drummer Extraordinaire Pavel Fajt Pronounced "fight" Caused A Small Sensation In European Festival-Circles Upon Their Arrival In The Late Eighties With A Beautiful Mixture Of Poetry Folk Elements And A Distinct Czech Style Of Songwriting Underlined By Fajt's Subtle & Inventive Drumming Style. It Was In 1985 That Bittová First Collaborated With Percussionist Pavel Fajt From The Czech Rock Group Dunaj And Recorded Bittová Fajt A Fusion Of Alternative Rock Music With Slavic And Romani Music. Iva Started Recording Solo Albums In 1986 And By 1990 Her Unique Vocal And Instrumental Technique Gained Her International Recognition. Since Then She Has Performed Regularly All Over Europe The United States And Japan And Has Made Over Eight Solo Albums. Pavel Fajt Has Also Had A Prolific Recording Career And Has Been Particularly Influential On The Czech Rock Scene.
