April's Drumming Is In Many Ways As Notable And Key A Part Of The Group As The Guitars Able To Give A Good Solid Punch To The Music And As Deceptively Simple And Strong As Mo Tucker's Work In The Velvet Underground Ever Was. Adam Meanwhile Definitely Knows His Kevin Shields But Isn't As Aggressively Avant-Garde As The Latter Often Is Favoring Instead Neil Halstead And At Times Nick McCabe When It Comes To Well-Played And Performed Aural Guitar Sculptures Guaranteed To Create An Instantly Lovely Unashamedly Melancholic Mood. The Duo's Singing Is Practically Inaudible Very Intentionally Buried Deep In The Mix And Leaving Little But A Tantalizing Whisper -- The Music Is What's Central Here And There's Nothing Wrong With That At All.
