New York US 1968 The Tingling Mother's Circus Was A Rock Band From New York That Released One Single In 1967 And An Album In 1968. Little Is Known About The Band's History. The Single Released In 1967 Was "Face In My MInd” B/w “Isn’t It Strange" Roulette Catalog Number 4758 .
The Album A Circus Of The Mind Is An Ambitious Project Resembling A Circus Performance At Some Points. It Consists Of Catchy Songs Some Of Which Were Clearly Intended To Aspire For Radio Airplay. It Owes A Lot To Psychedelia With Horns Fuzzy Guitars And Various Studio Effects. There Are Country And Folk Influences To Be Found As Well And It Has Some Nicely And Thoughtfully Done Arrangements . The Album Didn't Sell At The Time Of Its Release And It Is Now A Rare Collectors' Item. Among The Cover Songs On The Album Are Flowers On The Wall Originally By The Statler Brothers New York Mining Disaster 1941 Bee Gees And A Very Decent Version Of Yellow Submarine. In The Album's Liner Notes Among Others The Band "thanks To All Of Their Mexican Friends Who Have Crossed The Border."
