John Durham, better known by his stage name Lil Toe (formerly Lil Toenail), is an American rapper and producer from West Palm Beach, Florida. He also makes alternative rock music under the name AMMO and produces under the name Wonton. Originally going by Lil Toenail, he wore a custom toe costume with a ski mask for public appearances. Not much about his personal life is known as he’s kept much of it private, including keeping his face a secret for many years. He released his first song “Why Do You Look Like A Frog” on October 21, 2016. The track quickly started gaining success, which Toe would follow up with his soon to be breakout single, “Suck My Nuts.” Toe would continue to release music throughout 2017 and 2018, with hits like “Fuck Shit” and it’s remix with Riff Raff, “Wake Up,” “Fuck What You Heard” and “Pipe Down,” produced by the well known artist Joji. These songs solidified Toe as apart of the rising Florida scene. In late 2019 going into 2020, Lil Toe’s song “Wake Up” would go insanely viral on the video sharing platform TikTok two years after its initial release. Toe capitalized off the songs viral success by creating his own videos to the track and continuing to release music with songs like “Tick Tock.” Toe started off 2021 with the release of “Skeletons in My Closet,” which quickly became one of his biggest songs. He followed it up with what would also become one of his biggest songs, “Ukraine Freestyle.” On September 24, 2021, Lil Toe released the self titled single, “AMMO.” This marked the beginning of a new era for him as it debuted his new stage name, ‘AMMO’. The next couple of years would be a bit slower for Toe as he only released a couple of songs, such as “All White Forces” and “GUNSMOKE.” He would remain relevant however as he appeared in many videos as a guest character for the popular YouTube channel Cherdleys. He would also go on tour throughout the United States as an opener for Joji’s Pandemonium tour, alongside SavageRealm and Kenny Beats. On April 19, 2024, Lil Toe released the song “HARM.” For the first time in his career, Lil Toe took off his mask and revealed to the world what he actually looked like. From this point on, Toe would go full force as ‘AMMO,’ leading to the release of his debut studio album just three weeks later, HOLLOW POINT, on May 8, 2024.
