Systema Nervioso is a Santa Fe, NM based hardcore punk band that released one full album in 1996, entitled "Where Tyranny Begins," and received a lot of underground notoriety in Scandanavia and other parts of Europe, where different types of hardcore music, and the related but different dark metal, were thriving at the time. They were active from 1995-2000. The members were: Leah (Guitar and Vocals) Shane Pennington (Drums) Paul (Bass, Vocals, Drums)

The members were: Leah (Guitar and Vocals) Shane Pennington (Drums) Paul (Bass, Vocals, Drums) John (Vocals) Drummer Shane Pennington would later join Sue Foley in the punk rock band Chopper Sick Balls from 2004-2006. Shane Pennington then went on to drum for the band The Elected Officials from 2010-2012.
