Forming in 2024, A Former Essence is a punk band from a small town in Iowa. They create a mixture of pop punk, punk rock, melodic hardcore & midwestern emo. They write songs ranging from unserious (covering topics such as Sadsquatch, rubber ducks & falling in love with a particularly pretty paralysis demon) to more serious topics of abuse, addiction & love.
