Not to be confused with Megan Lynch the fiddler, Megan Lynch the vocalist hails from South Pasadena, CA. She now resides in Berkeley, CA. LA's punk movement, Channel 52, and Folk Roots Magazine all short-circuited her neurons such that she can go from singing a Kurt Weill art song one moment to singing 'Rawhide' in Swedish the next. She uses a full palette of thrums, yelps, croons, yodels, growls and ululations in order to paint the picture called for by the song.

She is equally at home singing her original compositions, Tin Pan Alley, rock, pop, country, blues, light opera, and various world musics. Her vocal instrument and range is similar to k. d. lang's but she doesn't sound like any one artist out there. Influences are many and varied, ranging from Exene Cervenka, Dolores Gray, Ella Fitzgerald, Cliff Edwards, and Kate Bush, but what comes out is uniquely Megan.
