Care Caradoc is Maria Jardardottir and Matthew Jennings. They began working together in Leeds in Spring 2007, and completed a debut album ’Everything Happens for a Reason’ in Spring 2009. Their pagan ballads seem rooted in European folk music, but the inventiveness and pop orientation of their songwriting take them well away from traditional folk territory, and towards a place more singular. Maria is involved in numerous other projects, all aimed at experimenting with the musicality of the human voice. These currently involve Royst, Curious Voice Duo, and Melatonin. Matthew (aka Jell)produces experimental pop and electronic music as Talk Less Say More, and was in the now-defunct Leeds avant-metal band The Butterfly. They have collaborated with other muscians for recordings and live performance. On 'Everything Happens for a Reason', Rus Pearson plays double bass, and Gary Stewart plays percussion instruments.
