Having begun studying music at 4-years-old, Ezra LaFleur is an accomplished, polished 13-year-old musician. Over the course of his, as of now, brief career, Ezra has had scores of public vocal and piano performances and won numerous awards and competitions with his piano playing. Currently he tours nationally and internationally with a well-known boys' choir. Ezra began composing music several years ago on the piano, but it was the introduction to electronic music that was the real catalyst which led to his first album, Opus I. Opus I a sometimes quirky, often haunting, and always well-crafted, electronic exploration of the joy--and melancholy--of nature and life. Part Devotchka, part Penguin Cafe Orchestra, part Philip Glass.
