Maurice started composing music when he was in his teens, after being inspired when he first heard Jean Michel Jarre’s album Oxygene and later Equinoxe. He studied piano but got fed up of the teaching because he just wanted to write his own music. After hearing bands like Tangerine Dream as well as Jean Michel, he knew that it was this kind of music that he wanted compose and what he really wanted to do with his life. Maurice has played concerts locally in Cork over the years and they have all been very popular, with Maurice also promoting and financing all the shows. He was also commissioned to compose music for a number of local theatre works. Maurice hasn't performed live for a while, as he is concentrating on getting his music to a much wider audience. The equipment he uses mainly are a variety of Roland keyboards and modules, which Maurice feels produce a warmer sound. Although he has not yet worked with any major artist, he has recorded and produced an album for a local artist from Cork. Quite simply, all Maurice wants is for people to hear his music.
