Cybergrind

Cybergrind is often seen as the combination of the standard conventions of grindcore taken to an even more discordant and rapidfire extreme, with the added electronic dimensions of computer-generated noises and drum machines. Cybergrind began in the US during the 90s and many early artists were inspired by industrial metal. While Agoraphobic Nosebleed is most well known, the genre is an underground phenomenon, seen most often on the internet.

Since the early 2000s, cybergrind has increasingly broadened, now being seen as a term for the broad fusion of grindcore inspired extreme metal (often metalcore, mathcore and deathcore) and various electronic genres (breakcore, chiptune, vaporwave, happy hardcore and more). It is also now often associated with related music communities such as digital hardcore, nintendocore, hyperpop, electronicore, nu metal and brostep. Horse the Band's fusion of metalcore and chiptune seems to be the major starting point influence for many of this side of cybergrind. While the original form of cybergrind still exists, the genre is now more often associated with this style.
