Their success in head-lining gigs in Somerset led on to a ten days tour of the Czech Republic. After this wider exposure, Cut Nancy started to work with Midnight Mango Promotions, playing venues across the south-west of England and taking part in a short national transit tour, sponsored by Radio 1. Later, working with “In It For The Money Promotions”, they played with national act Skindred; before going on to support InMe. Recently, after writing a new set, Cut Nancy recorded their first 3 tracks demo at Paranormal Studios, with Shorn Rah, whose clientele includes Portishead, You Love Her Coz Shes Dead and Radiohead. Cut Nancy’s music is strongly influenced by the early grunge scene and the later post-hardcore movement, with songs that move from soft and heartfelt to heavy and erratic. The music on their demo takes you on a sonic journey, moving effortlessly through different time signatures, punctuated by melodious chorus lines. Shorn Rah has managed to capture the energy of their live sound and combine with it with the refinement of studio production.
