Until We Die is a melodic, symphonic, and deathcore-driven project created by Niko Abyss. The project began in 2010, developed in a humble home setup, and released a demo in 2015, the EP “A World in Flames” in April 2016, and the debut album “Before the Decay of Time” in November 2016. Over the years, Niko explored other musical avenues, including projects like Left To Drown, Whxrecrusher, and the synthwave project Retromorphosis, before returning in 2025 with renewed focus.

For the 9th anniversary of the debut album, the project teased a new era, promising heavier, darker, and more epic music. The music blends dark fantasy and epic storytelling with symphonic influences from composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach, alongside inspiration from Dark Souls, Berserk, Castlevania, Fist of the North Star and Greek mythology. Its sound fuses the intensity of old-school deathcore (As Blood Runs Black, And Hell Followed With, Rose Funeral), the melody of melodic death metal (The Black Dahlia Murder, At the Gates), and the complexity of technical death metal (Necrophagist, Spawn of Possession), creating a cinematic, powerful, and atmospheric experience.
