Keralanka, formed in 2017, are an underground hip-hop duo based in Toronto. The duo consists of the rapper and producer Rohan Raj, also known as 'Roheezy', and producer djAP. Their work is lyrically dense and conscious, with the production featuring a fusion of elements from R&B to old school boom-bap to South Asian Music, typically showcasing their heritage. Their debut EP, 2020's 'Dare Package' was made on a promotional Twitch stream where the duo made the EP in a total of 24 hours.

They did the same thing for their follow-up, 2021's 'Mahal', this time with a storyline that has expanded what they call the "Keralanka Universe". The duo is slowly growing a community of dedicated fans. Keralanka released their first full-length mixtape in July of 2023, 'Thali Tape', preceded by the singles “Sora” and “Renaissance”. The project features Abhi the Nomad, Harrison Sands, RANJ and Sun Deep, being released following another 24 hour stream by Roheezy and AP, due to their focus on building a tight-knit community of fans.
