Pilger (from Southampton, UK) formed in 2001 by MIke Fox (guitar), Tony Suspect (drums), Phil Hedges (vocals) and Kevin Borrett (bass) with the hope of producing short fast tuneful hardcore. The starting point was the first Kid Dynamite album, from there a heavy influence of 80s USHC was added. If we had a pound for every time someone mentioned 7seconds! Now add some rock sensibilities and the inability to play a song for longer than 2 minutes and you are getting close to what Pilger are.

The name comes from the journalist and documentary maker, John Pilger. It sums up what we are about. Serious, political, left of centre, humanist and fighting for a fairer world.
