THE FORKS is a French instrumental rock duet formed in July 2007, in Laval. A guitar, a drum kit, a singular approach. Close to numerous creative currents, refusing to confine their inspiration into a strict musical frame, THE FORKS brings to the project a constantly renewed creative dimension. The music of the duet can remind by some aspects the universes of RUSSIAN CIRCLES and MOGWAI, or still those of LIGHTNING BOLT and PNEU. Of these numerous influences is born a protean and powerful rock music, above all accessible and sincere, based on constant self-overtaking and total dumping of the audience in concert. After releasing two homemade EPs, the band settled at the beginning of the year 2009, upon its arrival on Angers, and began concerts. About sixty performances succeeded in a little more than a year, in particular with MARVIN, FORDAMAGE, PAPAYE, TOTORRO and BIRDS IN ROW…
