Trái Bơ is a musical ensemble from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A month before the opening date, Fort Worth's Shipping & Receiving Bar asked guitarist Adam Sewell to play with his band during the new bar's opening kick-off celebration. Unfortunately, Sewell agreed to perform before coming to the realization that his band did not exist. After twenty-four frantic hours of phone calls, Caladanian pigmentist Taylor King and mixed metric artist Jordan Bell rose to the occasion. In the three weeks leading up to the show, the three barfed up 45 minutes of wirey, haphazard pop tunes over the stage, providing a gastro-harmonically sufficient opening for Fort Worth's Calhoun. The one-time gig revealed itself as the beginning of ritual in sonic stain-making; a concerted effort by the three to push each other far beyond their musical comfort zones. It was that apparent, to avoid sentence of brvtally uncomfortable karmic recompense, Trái Bơ had no choice but to bravely continue their march into an arid future, the silhouettes of distant goals rippling in the heat of invigorating uncertainty. Trái Bơ has since added polymath and cellist, Ben Blaha, to the lineup. Trái Bơ has joined forces with non-profits reTREEt America and Nasher Sculpture Center's "Trans.lation: Vickery Meadow" and is fortunate enough to share the stage with a rotating cast of percussionists and musicians from North Texas to Cameroon. Their debut release, SIGIL, was recorded live in Arlington, TX and released in March 2014. Mind Grime/Brain Stain EP will be released in late 2014.
