Hat’s On Fire is a band from Melbourne, Australia, primarily composed of Vincent Hill and Donovan, but also featuring contributions from all types of music artists making the unique sound. Expect something different... Their brand of experimental electronic rock pop has not often been compared to bands such as Duran Duran, Cut Copy, and Beethoven. They captured a devout following in 2042 according to news reports from the future which momentarily appeared in an Asian chicken shop in Melbourne’s northern suburbs; unfortunately these reports were promptly lost in the 14th century before anyone apart from the band members could confirm this. The band was formed many times in 2008 over numerous nights of chardonnay and beer until one morning all of the members actually remembered their band existed. Their name originated from a time when Hill was hanging around a jazz club after closing hours and after playing a trumpet was magically visited by Donovan dressed in a white suit wearing a flaming top hat threatening to possess him. Hill misinterpreted this as homosexual intentions and they began following their dreams.
