Finnish-born Amsterdam-based artist MURU (Jenni-Josefiina Rehn) started as a jazz vocalist before re-inventing herself as an alternative electronic producer-songwriter. MURU writes music with a melancholy tone. She lists Elvis, Chet Baker, old Hollywood movies and 90’s gangsta rap as sources of her musical inspiration. Her debut single Holy Water will be out on Dec 16th.
