Hard rock band from Blumenau, South Brazil, that have started in the beginning of the 90s. It was distinguished in local scene because of their perfect covers from 70s hard rock bands, like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rush, and Jethro Tull. Their first album (selftitled) was released in 1994, and it sounds like Rush, but with lyrics in portuguese. In 1996, they released "A Espada e o Dragão", that brang them some national projection. Surprisely, at this time the band was culted by brazilians heavy metal fans. Three years have passed until "O Quinto Sol" (1999), where the band started to use more acoustic guitars, flute and percussion, revealing then more influences from Jethro Tull. After the fourth album, "Vol IV" (2001), Vlad V released an acoustic project, that resulted in "Viagens Acústicas" (2005). This album brings old hits revisited, some covers, and new compositions. It maintains a Jethro Tull sonority (one of the covers is "Locomotive Breath"), but reveals some influence from brazilian artist Zé Ramalho. Line up: Jean Carlo (vocals, flute, guitar, harmonica), Beto Luciani (guitar, vocals), Claudio Reif (bass), Flavio Theilacker (drums). Website: http://www.vladv.com.br
