Chuzzlewit Began In St. Paul. MN In 1995 When A Guy Named Greg Left The Band He Had Been Playing In And Decided To Record His Own Songs At Home. He Released Several Cassettes On His Own Label Low Voltage. Several European Labels Have Released Chuzzlewit Albums Over The Years Leading Some To Believe That Chuzzlewit Is In Fact European. Actually Chuzzlewit Is From The Midwestern United States Having Lived At Various Times In Minnesota Indiana Illinois Missouri Wisconsin And Iowa. All Of Chuzzlewit's Songs Are Recorded At Home Using A 4-Track Until It Broke And A Laptop. The Approach Is Lo-Fi And Focuses On Blending Guitars Effects And Vocals Into An Atmospheric Sound. These Days The Guy Named Greg Is Joined By A Girl Named Rachel Who Brings Welcome Relief From The Monotone Mumble That Is The Best Greg Can Manage Vocally. read less
