In The Beginning Of 90´s The Town Of Teplice CZ Was A Strong Musical Metropolis In The Czech Republic. It Was Even Called „Czech Seattle“. You Could See Music Bands Everywhere Around. Roaring From Studios Was Heard In Every Street. People In Chequered Shirts Around Their Waists And With Guitars On Their Back Were Running Around The Streets. Just The Sea And A Surf Would Make It Complete – And So It Was Compensated By Asphalt And A Skateboard. That Time Gave Rise To One Of Many Local Bands Called Zadejchany Dvere Hazy Door . Zadejchany Dvere Falk Steinmetz Sistek Ulrich . In The Beginning The Band Was Orientated To Punk And Later They Developed Into Rock Spiced With Psychedelic Elements. On Their Account Were Two Demos “Punk Je Punk?” And “Underground” Both Of Them Being Appreciated Generally Positively. The Band Got A Prize Here And There Gave Concerts Here And There And Got A Beer For That Off And On. Frequent And We Can Say Native Outstation Of The Band Was Iconic Club KNAK Nowadays Not Existing Any More. However The Atmosphere Of That Time Was Not Favourable For Quitar Music Which Was Mostly Advocated By Petr Steinmetz - At Least Not In Teplice. The Situation In Prague Was Changing A Bit – Ticha Dohoda Toyen Sebastians. But Neither There Could The Band Feather Their Nest. Moreover The Band Was So Fragmented In Its Musical Orientation That Due To Disparate Opinions Of Individual Members Concerning Its Further Development Steinmetz And Later Also Falk Leave The Group. Shortly After That Zadejchany Dvere Disband. After A Short Silence Towards The Close Of 1999 Steinmetz Founds A Band Kletba. In Future He Keeps For Himself Not Only Authorship Of Music But Also Of All Lyrics. Other Members Are Petr Masek – Bass Jiri Chalas – Percussion. The Group Starts From Beginning And Due To Working Load Of All The Members Very Slowly. Steinmetz Now Uses Even Those Elements Which He Could Not Afford In Zadejchany Dvere. This Resulted In More Integral Sound Than Before. The Music Still Remains Rather Unsortable Which Is The Only Feature Inherited From Hazy Door. However A New Problem With The Vocalist So The Band Lapses After A Year. After A Long Time The Vocalist Pavel Falk And The Guitarist And Composer Petr Steinmetz Start A New Band In 2006 Called AMUSE. They Are Joined By The Bass Guitarist Petr Masek From Kletba And The Drummer Jakub Novak. The Direction Has Already Been Given. It Is An Indie-Guitar Group Which Is Different From The Current Local Scene. Thus After Many Years Teplice Will Launch Again From Its Foggy Basin Tones And Sounds Saturated With Its Unique Atmosphere. In A Word There Are Things Which Resist The Time. . . In Spring 2008 Petr Steinmetz Decided To Leave The Band. He Had The Same Feelings As When Breaking Up With Zadejchany Dvere. His Conception About Good Functioning The Band Was Diametrically Different From Ideals Of Other Members Of The Band. Directly After Steinmetz Left The Band AMUSE Broke Up And Ended Its Short Life. read less
