Angeles Ochoa Was Born On October 2 And Grew Up To Become One Of The Best Mexican Folk Music Singers. “One Day I’m Going To Sing With That Mariachi” Was Words Said By A Three Year Old Girl To Her Parents While Watching A Tribute On Television To Lola Beltran. Seven Years Later That Little Girl Named Angeles Ochoa Had Her Dream Come True By Performing With “El Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan ” And Having Ms. Lola Beltran As Her Artistic Godmother. Angeles Ochoa Was Just Six Years Old The First Time She Performed In Public She Had Been Asked To Perform At A Church Fundraiser. Two Years Later She Had The Opportunity To Sing With The Famous “Charro” Singer David Reynoso And With Her Aunt Perla LeDuc.It Was At This Event That Juanita Wood Invited Angeles To Perform On Her Television Show “Tijuana Window To The South” Angeles Charisma And Enormous Talent Caught The Eyes Of Many Concert Promoters Who Then Signed Her To Perform In Various Concerts In Baja California Los Angeles And Other Neighboring Cities. In 1981 She Was Invited To Be Part Of “Siempe En Domingo ” The Longest Running Television Program In Mexico That Was Seen By Millions Of Viewers Worldwide. After Her Appearance In 52 Shows On This Program Angeles Ochoa Became Well Known. She Then Performed With World Renowned Singers Pedro Vargas And Dora Maria At The Mexican Consulate In New York For Mexico’s Independence Day. A Year Later Angeles Ochoa Participated In Two Important Musical Festivals The “IV Festival De La Cancion Ranchera” And “El OTI.” Her Performances At These Two Contests/festivals Captivated People’s Attention And She Was Immediately Signed To Record Her First Album.This Album Was Produced By Rigoberto Alfaro With The Collaboration Of “El Mariachi Oro Y Plata De Pepe Chavez.” In 1983 Angeles Ochoa Performed For Eight Consecutive Months At El Teatro De La Ciudad Mexico’s Most Prestigious Theater And Where Renown Artists Have Performed. In November Of 1983 She Was Signed By CBS/Columbia Records Mexico. She Began To Reinforce Her Artistic Development By Taking Classes In Regional Dance Guitar Acting Drama And English. During 1984 And 1985 Angeles Ochoa Toured All Over Mexico And Acted As A Radio Host In One Of Mexico’s Top Rated Radio Stations X.E.Q. “La Nueva Imagen De La Cancion Ranchera” The New Image In Mexican Folk Music And “Ni A Sol Ni A Sombra” There’s No Shine Nor Shadow Were Angeles Ochoa’s Second And Third Albums For Which She Received Various Awards And Acknowledgments. Prestigious Entertainment Magazines And Newspapers Named Her The “Best New Artist In Regional Music.” In 1989 After A Five Year Hiatus She Returned To The Music Scene With A Spectacular Album Titled “Vine Solo A Cantar” I Only Came Here To Sing . This New Album Was Recorded Under The Artistic Direction Of Homero Patron And Was Produced By Enrique Okamura. Six Of The Songs Were Written Especially For Her By Mexico’s Most Beloved And Respected Writer/author Juan Gabriel. With This Album Angeles Proved To Be One Of Mexico’s Greatest Female Singers. She Also Went On Tour With Juan Gabriel Across The United States Of America. At The Beginning Of The 90’s Angeles Ochoa Began The Most Important And Longest Promotional Tour In Her Career. This Tour Traveled Through All Of Central America South America The United States Of America Mexico And Some Parts Of Europe. In May Of 1990 Angeles Participated In “Mexico Lindo Y Querido” Mexico Beautiful And Beloved A Contest In Which She Was The Winner Of The People. That Same Year She Received Various Radio Awards The Aplauso 98 Los Angeles And Ovacion 105 Chicago . In 1991 Billboard Nominated Her For Two Categories “Album Of The Year” In Regional-Mexican Category And “Best New Female Artist” Which She Won During The “Lo Nuestro” Award Ceremony In Miami Florida. After Having Been Named “Best New Female Artist” By Billboard Angeles Ochoa Received A Platinum Album For “Voz Y Sentimiento ” Part I And II Voice And Feeling .
In 1991 And 1992 Angeles Ochoa Caused A Tremendous Impact With Her Fifth Album Titled “Juntito A Ti” Next To You . For This Album She Received National And International Praise From The Entertainment Media. She Began Her Tour Promoting The Latter Album All Over Mexico Central America South America And The U.S.A. Angeles Was Invited To Perform In Spain For “La Exposicion Mundial De Sevilla.” She Was Also Invited By The President Of Mexico Carlos Salinas De Gortari To Participate At “World Congress Of Economy” In Davos Switzerland During The Gala That Mexico Honor All The President’s In The World . The Famous Latino Festival “La Calle Ocho” In Miami Florida Was Also Captivated With Angeles Voice. Angeles Was A Guest Of Honor At The Mariachi Conference Held In Tucson Arizona Along With Linda Ronstadt. She Performed For Ambassador Petricholi And President George Bush. Soon After She Received “El Calendario De Oro ” A Very Important Recognition As The “Best Singer Of Mexican Folk Music ” For The Third Time In Her Career. Angeles Ochoa’s Talents Go Beyond Expectations Her Versatility And Great Personality Have Opened Many Doors And Have Helped Her To Be Recognized Not Only For Her Voice But Also For Her Presence And Hard Work. She Was Host Of “Noches Tapatias ” A Program Dedicated To Mexico’s Cultural And Musical Richness. She Received Multiple Awards And
recognition For Her Work “El Canto De Oro” Golden Voice And “Embajadora De Turismo” Tourism Ambassador “La Reyna De La Cancion Ranchera” The Queen Of Mexican Folk Music And The List Goes On. In April Of 1993 Angeles Ochoa Inaugurated One Of The Largest Concert Projects By The Television Network Firm Televisa In The Estadio Azteca. She Was The First To Offer A Concert In The “Ola Axteca” Within The “La Ola Mexicana ” For A Crowd Of Over 100 000 People. She Was Named “Ambassador Of Mexican Folk Music” In Hidalgo Texas And Received The Key To The City. On Her Tour Through The United States She Made Several Appearances And Was Guest In Shows Like “The Paul Rodriquez Show” And “Sabado Gigante” Giant Saturday . She Performed In “Fiesta Broadway ” Mexico’s Cinco De Mayo Celebration In Los Angeles California And “Conferencia Anual Del Mariachi” In San Jose California. Angeles Was Guest Of Honor For A Charity Concert Given By Juan Gabriel At The Rose Bowl In Pasadena California. She Also Performed In The Latin Music Festival In Chicago Illinois To An Audience Of Over 10 000 People. In 1994 Angeles Ochoa’s “Sentimiento Norteno ” Is The Sixth Album Of Her Career. It Was Produced By Ramon Ayala And Co-Produced By Angeles Ochoa. The Song “Su Todo Su Nada” By Joan Sebastian Was Recorded With The Musical Group “Bravos Del Norte.” Angeles Ochoa Has Demonstrated Her Versatility By Having Performed In The Musical Theater Production “Hay Naranjas.” She Performed With Eulalio Gonzales “Piporro ” An Icon Of Mexican Cinema. She Took Part In 200 Shows With Great Success. In Addition Angeles Participated In The 1994 Telethon For Handicapped Children In Guatemala. In 1996 “Cancionero” Was Angeles Ochoa’s Seventh Album. This Album Was Produced By Pepe Martinez The Musical Director Of Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan.
Then In 1998 Angeles Signed Up With A New Recording Company In Los Angeles California. It Was There That She Made Her Eighth Album “Ayudame A Pasar La Noche.” It Was Produced And Directed By Homero Patron. That Same Year Angeles Participated In The Annual “Foro De Fiesta Mexicana ” An Important Charity Event That Gives Hispanic Students Educational Grants In Milwaukee Wisconsin. 1999 To 2003 Were Years Of Intense Artistic Growth For Angeles Ochoa. She Is A Woman With Twenty-Seven Years Of Career Experience And Have Placed Her As One Of The Best Interpreters Of Mexican Folk Song. During 2004 Angeles Ochoa Devotes Time To Various Charity Events Such As The Telethon Of Honduras El Salvador And Guatemala. The Year 2005 Was A Busy And Productive For “La Estrella De America” The Star Of America . In Addition To The Many Personal Performances Angeles Sang For The President Of Mexico In The Famous Capital Square El Zocalo Of Mexico City. It Is There That Every Year She Fervently Sings “Las Mananitas De Nuestra Virgen De Guadalupe” In The Basilica. In 2006 Angeles Performed In The Hilton Hotel Convention Center Of Las Vegas Nevada. She Also Participated In The “Fiesta Mexicana” That Is Organized Every Year By The Television Network Firm Televisa. Angeles Was Also Invited By The Children Of Jose Alfredo Jimenez To Sing Their Father’s Songs At A Tribute To Him On The Television Show “Don Francisco.” Jose Alfredo Jimenez Was One Of Mexico’s Most Important And Classic Composers Of All Time. Angeles Also Participated In The Television Show “Cantando Por Un Sueno ” Along With The Group “Grupo Pesado.” In December Angeles Sang In The Annual Christmas Mariachi Festival In Phoenix Arizona. She Also Paid Tribute With Song To The Virgin Of Guadalupe At The Cathedral In San Antonio Texas. In 2007 Angeles Performs At The 9th Annual “Viva El Mariachi” In San Diego California With An Audience Of Seven Thousand People. And Later She Is Invited By Televisa To Perform At “Un Grito De Alegria De Fiesta Mexicana” In Puerto De Acapulco Guerrero. Then In Los Angeles She Participates In An Annual Tribute To Agustin Lara. In 2008 Angeles Ochoa Was Invited To Participate In The Tribute To Tomas Mendez By The Government Of The State Of Zacatecas Mexico. In 2009 Angeles Ochoa Prepares A Musical Production. It Is Her Perseverance Talent And Versatility That Make Angeles Ochoa One Of Mexico’s Greatest Talents To Appear In The Last Twenty Years. Angeles Gets New Management It Is Jep-Entertaiment/ Jorge Pinos. She Is Invited To Participated In The BMI Convention In The City Of Palm Beach Florida And Also To Performed “Con Los Anos Que Me Quedan” With Miami Sound Machine Honoring Gloria Estefan In And Award Ceremony For Her.
