Artist Biography For Ariband

Singer Songwriter Ari Charbonneau Was Born On The First Day Of Spring In 1980 New Years Day Of The Astrological Calendar. At Age Fifteen Her Older Brother Mike Taught Her Three Chords On The Acoustic Guitar. The Chords Were G D & C And The Song Was "Knockin On Heaven's Door." The Young Artist Took Immediately To The Art Of Songwriting And Fell Head Over Heels For The Rock & Roll Dream. Dylan Continued To Be One Of Her Main Influences Throughout The Years Most Evident When She Is Wailing On A Six String And Harmonica. Piano Goddess Tori Amos Was Also An Inspiration Early On As Well As Blind Melon John Lennon Kermit The Frog Led Zeppelin And Jim Morrison. "I Am The Lizard King I Can Do Anything." In 1996 Good Friend Ryan Luby Scribbled A Note In High School Spanish Class And Passed It To Charbonneau. It Said "Hey Man Wana Start A Band?" Hence Was The Dawning Of The Acoustic Rock Duo Known As "Green Love Blues." Luby Was A Natural Born Musician Always Tapping Out Beats On His Desk In Class And Already Singing In A Band At The Time. The Two Started Performing At Local Bars & Coffeehouses And Even Amongst The Older More Seasoned Musicians The Two Stood Out As A Force To Be Reckoned With. They Cut A Full Length Record Entitled "Rooms " Before Moving On To Pursue Solo Careers. They Continue To Collaborate Namely On A Song Entitled "Get Crazy " In Which Ari Lends Vocals To To An Inspirational Hip-Hop Ballad About Giving Life All You Got. In The Year 2000 Ari Moved To Boston MA And Recorded Her First Solo EP "Mystory Inside The Tree." She Spent The Next Six Years Polishing Her Chops As A Street Performer And Full Time Musician. In The Summer She Played Barefoot On The Streets Of Harvard Square In Cambridge And Boston's Faneuil Hall Marketplace And In The Winter She Sang Underground In The Subway Stations Selling CDs And Living Off Tips. Charbonneau Has Performed In The New England Area At Such Venues As Club Passim TT The Bears CBGB's Gallery NYC Galapagos Artspace Goodbye Blue Monday In Brooklyn Vincents Bar & Ralphs Diner In Worcester And Herrell's Renaissance Cafe In Allston Rock City. This Past Summer She Played At The Rainbow Room In Los Angeles And Travels To New York City For Shows Whenever Possible. She Also Held A Weekly Residency At The Middle East In Cambridge In 2005 Where She Met Bass Player Aaron Bellamy Whom She Recorded A Studio Record Entitled "You Got Soul" With In Fall Of 2009.
