BANTU Is A 13-Piece Musical Collective Founded By Ade Bantu. The Band Features Multi-Instrumentalists And Singers Who Perform As A Collective. Their Music Is A Fusion Of Afrobeat Hiphop Afrofunk Highlife And Yoruba Music. The Group Features Multi-Instrumentalists And Singers Who Perform As A Collective. Social Consciousness Satire And Personal Stories Constitute An Essential Element Of Their Message And Music. BANTU Emerged On The Nigerian Musical Scene In 1999 With Their Catchy Dance Single “Nzogbu”. "Lagos Jump" Was Originaly Recorded And Released By The Jamaican Reggae Band Third World In 1983. It Was Featured On Their Album Titled "All The Way Strong". According To The Band The Song Was Inspired By A Music Tour That Took Them To Nigeria In The Early 80's. Bantu's Remake Was Released In 2004 On Their Self Titled Debut Album "Bantu". Their Version Was Also Featured On The Brothers Keepers Documentary Film "Yes I Am". A Videoclip Of Bantu's Lagos Jump Was Shot In Surulere Lagos State.
