Blackhawk Is An American Country Music Group Founded In Nashville In 1992 By Lead Vocalist/guitarist Henry Paul Born August 25 1949 Formerly Of The Outlaws Vocalist/guitarist Van Stephenson Born 4 November 1953 Died 8 April 2001 And Keyboardist/vocalist Dave Robbins Born May 26 1959 Stephenson Was Succeeded By Randy Threet And Then By Anthony Crawford Bandmember For Both Neil Young And Steve Winwood . One Of The More Successful Country Music Groups Of The 1990s Their Hits Have Included Every Once In A While Days Of America And Goodbye Says It All. The Original Lineup For The Band Throughout The 1990s Was Paul Robbins And Guitarist/vocalist Van Stephenson Who Died Of Skin Cancer In April 2001. As He Entered The Residence He Realized All The Lights Were Off. They Chatted Awhile About Different Things And The Blind Gentleman Asked About The Weather Outside. My Buddy Told Him It Was A Pretty Nice Day. The Blind Guy Says "We're Gonna Be Getting Rain I Can Smell It". That Was The Impetus For The Song...
